hello peeps

My hubby really loves Peeps but it's not so much the eating of them, as it is the talking he does to them. They are on the kitchen table and every time he walks past them he says "well Heeeelloooo Peeps", like they are a long lost friend......

It cracks me up!

So anyhoo....Happy Easter my peeps!

I'm in a better frame of mind now, thank you...got a little stitching done and just decided to focus on the good stuff...I saw something written the other day and it made me snap out of it.....

"Be at rest my soul, for the Lord has been good to you"

So anyway, I'll have some stitching to show soon, in the meantime,

here's my Hibiscus tree, which I have managed not to kill yet....

she's actually pretty happy here in the sun room....

she keeps blooming, every day there are new blooms.

we did buy another one similar to this, but more "bush like" for the front porch but if it ends up being happy in the sun room we'll keep it there.

Better go check on what's cookin'. The menu for Easter Sunday is pretty big, had to start way ahead of time. As much as I enjoy cooking and baking, if there ever comes a day when it's just the two of us for a holiday, we're eating OUT!!

Blessings, y'all!

I´ve heard people speak of Peeps, but until now I never knew what they were...thank you for the photo.
I can see now that they are far too cute to actually eat :)
Happy Easter.

I love the idea of Peeps far more than I do eating them but they are so great at Easter! Your Hyacinth is gorgeous!

Hi Andrea, new to your blog and just totally enjoyed reading through the last few entries.

Hope your shoulder is getting better, love your pugs, the stitched bunny with carrot buttons are cute and the brownies look so yummy.

Here is another quick brownie bake - mix up a brownie mix pour 1/2 into the pan place Hershey's Symphony candy bars to fit (these are the large bars)pour the rest of the brownie mix ontop - bake - quick, but yummy!!

Happy Spring and Easter,
Roberta

The Peeps are cute and a sure sign of Easter, but I'd rather pass on eating them. Your Hyacinth is gorgeous. Hope you have a wonderful Easter.

Your Hyacinth is lovely. I used to love eating peeps, but i am not too much into sugar these days. But I do still love the idea of them and when I see them in the store, they make me smile.
Happy Easter!

That is to funny about the peeps and your hubby! My daughter loves them too. I always tell her that I am worried about her though. she always starts with eating the head off and makes silly remarks when she does! LOL Anyway, your Hyacinth tree is just fantastically gorgeous!

Andrea, you'd better not let your husband's Peeps around my kids, or he'd have them tried and convicted of murder by microwave, lol! I cooked until I dropped over the weekend, I'm off today and tomorrow and have declared today "do nothing (but stitch)" day. Your hibiscus is grand! I have had a couple of them in my life, my fav was one my dh brought me in the hospital when Rachel was born, it was called "Sundance". BTW, I made your brownies over the weekend, and they were a HIT!
