stockings!

Well, last year I stitched all but 2 of the thirteen stockings from the Blackbird Designs Tis Halloween book.

Such fun stitches! My original plan was to try and finish these myself, going by Vonna's awesome tutorial, which made it seem so very easy.
Which I'm sure it is....for someone not finishing challenged, like myself.

Let's face it, some people have it (finishing talent) and some don't. I don't. Not yet....maybe someday ;-)

Luckily, I have a really sweet and talented friend, who took pity on me and finished every. single. one. of them for me. How blessed am I?! Patti, I know I've said thank you several times, but seriously...THANK YOU AGAIN!!
I do have a little metal tree to hang these on, but they don't all fit...

and I couldn't get a good picture of it anyway, so here they all are...

that house with the kitty in the yard is one of my favs!

but I love all of them...(even with the pug hairs all over)

these two (below) are other favorites...

which one(s) are your favorite?

Oh, I forgot...I did make the little beaded hangers for all of them AND attach them!

That's all for now! I'm diligently stitching away on the Jenny Bean Halloween Sampler and hope to have it done by Halloween. We'll see....I'm usually not so good with deadlines ;-)

Take care of yourselves and enjoy Fall, while it lasts!

My favourite is the one with the big bird :o)

Love the beaded hanger, the colours are perfect.

They are beautiful, Andrea! Woot! YGG! Patti did a great job on the finishing for you, too. What a pal! :) I had grand plans of doing some of the stockings fro the booklet this year but totally fell off the stocking train. I need to get with it! I am hoping to finish up Guarding Eden and then want to hopefully finish up Jenny Bean Halloween, too. There's a lot of HOPE in that sentence! LOL I hope you get yours done, too!

Have a great weekend! xoxoxo

I'm in awe Andrea! These are so adorable!! I'm glad that you made it through all of them, and don't feel bad, I can sew like the dickens, but finishing things off - well, can't do it - don't know why -maybe don't have the patience. Patti did a wonderful job finishing them off for you!!

They are gorgeous! I've had that booklet for over a year and am ashamed to say I've only stitched one stocking so far (not put in stocking form yet either). I may just have to pick it up again...

They all look great and seeing them together like that is a treat.
I would pick the bird with the star on the chest first, the house with the black bird and then the house with the cat etc.

Andrea your Halloween stockings are all just really beautiful and cute too!! I love them and I think the one with the big jack o lantern face is a favorite for me!! I had to laugh at you saying how they have pug hairs in them. Those will match my stitching as mine has Pekinese and Lhasa Apso hairs too lololol. That is what makes them special you know!! I do use tiny tweezers to pull out an occasional hair and the black fabric I am stitching on now has a roll of masking tape taking the big hairs off of it. roflol. Your stitching is awesome and I need to try stitching some of my stockings that I have in my stash from Blackbird Designs too. I too am finishing challenged but may attempt it.
