one finish and two wip's

First, the finish:

I Thee Wed by The Goode Huswife

Stitched on 36 ct. Vintage Sienna Night by Lakeside
DMC threads, 2 over 2

The top picture is the truest as far as the color of the linen. I LOVE this linen, it's so easy to see on and not the huge PITA that stitching on black can be. Every stitch on this was a joy.

Now, for my first WIP:

The Charlotte Clayton sampler.

Stitching this on 36 ct. Vintage Sand Dune, with Needlepoint silks.

How appropriate is it, that the last photo, of the doggie, has a DOG HAIR on it? Those pugs, they sure shed a lot ;-)

My second WIP:

THIS BLOG!! Poor Siobhan, first she encourages me, then she has to come to my rescue! She's pretty smart, and thankfully, a sweet friend :) Otherwise, this blog would be toast.

Now, all I'm aiming for here is bigger pictures, less clutter, and a nice blog header picture. Once I get those things in place, I'm never changing anything ever again! Meanwhile, if things look weird, just pretend you don't see anything wrong ;-)...
it takes me a while to do computer stuff!

Thanks for visiting! Happy stitching, and stay cool!

Oh my gosh...I love your stitching!! You are so right about that linen. Now tell me how did you take those photos? That Siobhan is the best...she has helped me on several occasions. After you make your changes, are you going to help me;)

Great finish! I love how it looks on that color fabric. I stitched mine a few years back on the black - love that too, but it's always fun to see how different a piece can look with varying fabrics.

Beautiful wip - that's a lot of stitches!!

As for your other wip - I think you are doing great!!

Ahhh, what a beautiful finish. Goode Huswife has so many great designs and it's always a pleasure to see them on the blogs (now that you can't buy the patterns any longer).
And I love your WIP, it's gorgeous.

Oh no. Another stitch that I have to search for! I missed out on so many charts while living under that rock for 20 years. The search is on! I even have a linen that would work. Charlotte Charlotte Charlotte. Do I have to purchase you too? YES!!! Thanks for my morning inspiration!

Beautiful stitching! I love the fabric color on I Thee Wed. Such a beautiful compliment to the stitching.

Trust me, we feel your pain when it comes to struggling with our blogs.

Good Luck.

Oooh, LOVE your GH finish and on that fabric - stunning!

Charlotte is gorgeous, too! You've gotten a lot done and it looks wonderful.

Love how your blog is looking - I need to clean mine up as well (if I ever get back to it, that is) and I really love how yours is looking! Love how you're showing your favorite finishes on the side bar - lets us enjoy them whenever we pop in without having to search.

XOXO

great finish and now I think I need the Charlotte piece. At least you were brave enough to try to change your blog. It took me so long to build I may never try again

Another gorgeous finish!! I don't think I've ever seen that one before. It's beautiful on that Sienna Night fabric for sure. Love your Charlotte Clayton too - yet another one I really must stitch. And the blog is looking great!! It always takes me a while to get all the tweaking done for it to look the way I want!

Love the Good Huswife. I have that one socked away for an anniversary present for the dude. But I never stitch it because I know stitching on black would take f-o-r-e-v-e-r. I like your alternative!

Mouthwatering photos! I have long loved I thee wed and I even started it, but the black linen was definitely a PITA! Love the dog hair! I have so much dog hair, cat hair, and my own hair in my cross stitch, I will probably never get it all out! I think the blog looks great!
