"Snowtorious B.I.G." visits Dallas

Those of y'all that are 55 inches deep in snow probably will laugh your tushies off at this, but for us Dallas folk, this is a LOT of snow! Over six inches in our area and more to come! We haven't had this much snow since the late 80's!

Here's the cute little snowman I watched my neighbor's kids build while I was in the kitchen this afternoon:

The corner of our house (on the left) where the dining room and kitchen are:

a big bush:

and here's what I was up to in the kitchen:

DE-FREAKIN-LICIOUS! It's Cinnamon Bun Bread and you can find the recipe HERE. You should make them ASAP! It was super easy and worth the very little time it took to make them. Yum!

I also made a HUGE pot of pinto beans and filled my iron skillet with cornbread and made mini pecan pie muffins for dessert, but we kinda ate it all before I could get pictures.
Now we're all stuffed full and some of us {ahem} found all this extremely exhausting and needed a nap ;-)

A couple of you have asked about Astro's bump on his face I'd posted about last month. I'm happy to say it was just a little cyst and it's totally gone now :-) Thanks for asking!

And more good news, the work is almost done in the laundry room! The tile is down and we should have the washer and dryer moved back in by tomorrow, providing the roads aren't icy enough to keep the guy away. Cross your fingers for me, I go through a LOT of dishtowels around here, lol!

Stay toasty!

That snowman is sooo cute! I saw the weather map that showed snow over your neck of the woods and was like "Whaaat? The world's gone mad!!" Glad to hear about Astro's clean bill of health... and those cinnamon buns look positively dee-lish! Good luck with the finish of the laundry room!

A touch of a Midwest winter snow in Texas... what a cute snowman. OMG the buns look so very yummy. My favorite snap is the one of the 'exhausted pups'... I know that pose well. lol :-)

It's a miracle my laptop computer is still working, what with all the drool dribbling on it after seeing your Cinnamon Bun Bread. Yummmmmmm!
Oh, I just love the snow. It's dangerous outside, but all the more reason to stay in and stitch :o)

The weather this year has been the strangest I can ever remember. The cinnamon bread looks delicious - I love cinnamon, almost as much as chocolate! I haven't had pinto beans and cornbread in AGES - that sounds so good. The pups are just too darn cute all pooped out!
I hope your LR is all back up and running today. I know what you mean about the dishtowels. I wipe a lot of little doggie paws in a day.

What is it about snow and eating? I don't know but I know that I want to eat the whole time when its snowing too...things like what you made. Although it's hell when you have to weigh in at WW. I've got to do that today, and I'm a little nervous cause there was more than one day that I "fudged" my points.

OMG those cinnamon buns look sooo good.

Now you know why I left Ohio!!!

I talked to my Mom this morning. She said that the drifts are so high, you can't hardly see. I told her that is why you can mail bills.

Oh my word the cinnamon bun bread look wickedly good!!!!
With the cold here and snow outside I might very well try it.
Your pugs nearly killed me. Soooooooo cute!!! My bulls pass out like that quite often but it always cracks me up seeing other breeds do it. Glad to hear your laundry room is nearly sorted out.
You go girl!!

You know Waco is just too close to Dallas to be good for my diet. I wanted to hop up there and get some of those buns! But with the snow and all I decided to hang out here.

The picture of the pugs made me laugh out loud! That shot really makes me wonder what the rest of us look like after a great meal like the one you enjoyed. Have fun in that snow while you can!

Living somewhere where lots of snow doesn't usually happen but did this winter I can totally relate to how you feel about the snow you've been having. Pretty pictures - as always, lovely to look at but not so nice to go out in! Hope you can stay home and keep warm this weekend! As for the food - yummy!! Especially the cinnamon buns - those are a huge weakness of mine. I'm off to check the recipe.

Now those are two contented looking pups!! ;) Thanks for the recipe link--looks good!! You'll have to give a recipe for the pecan pie muffins--they sound so good. I heard last night that 49 states in the US had snow on the ground; only Hawaii was the hold out. Wow!!

I am SOOOOOOOOO glad that Astro's bump was just a cyst. Amen!

Loved all the snow pictures, especially that darling snowman.
I'm trying to stay away from sweets for awhile, but wow, your cinnamon bun bread looks heavenly. We still have snow on the ground in TN...more may come Sunday. These are crazy times!

What a lovely snowman :>) Your garden looks beautiful, Andrea. I know it's really inconvenient for everyone but you can't help admiring it's beauty!

Hmmm, I can smell that cinammon bun from here. Cinammon is a real favourite of mine and I have to stop myself from putting it into everything :>)
The beans sound good too. Your pupsters (our nickname for the dogs) look so content. Wish we could just relax like that.
Glad the laundry room saga is reaching a happy conclusion. It will be worth it in the end.

Sooo glad to hear about Astro's bump. That is good news! And yay for your laundry room being almost finished (hopefully it is by now!). Your Cinnamon Bun Bread looks delicious! Now, I'm going to have to make some. We still have snow around our house - I can't believe it!

I'm so glad Astro is OK! Yep, I'm one of those mired in the deep deep snow, but your pics are so cute-the snowman is adorable! And I will NOT thank you for that cinnamon bread recipe!!! OK, thanks, but my diet hates it!
