Finishes

Next time I decide to go off and take a bloggin' break, someone please take a switch to my backside! Uploading pics to blogger is taking forever today. That'll teach me!

So, in no particular order, here are some projects that were completed during my blogging absence (all pics are clickable)....

First up, Trudy's Flower by Elizabeth's Garden (daughter of Kathy Barrick)

This one I started, oh gosh, who knows how long ago, and I just couldn't get into that much. Finally decided it was because I was using one strand of DMC over two, and the coverage was "meh" at best. Thankfully, one of my daughters enjoys frogging (she takes after her father, go figure), so she ripped out all I'd done (which was about a quarter of it, so I could start over on that piece of fabric.

So, with TWO strands of DMC, over two on the 36 ct. Barn Owl, it was much better.
Dated 2009 because that's the date it had on it before daughter ripped it out.

Next, Dainty Housewren by Carriage House Samplings
Stitched on 40 ct. Ink Spot Black with Needlepoint Silk.

I left off the beads because they just seemed HUGE and too busy on this piece.

This one is Snow Day, from With they Needle & Thread

Stitched on 35 ct. Confederate Gray linen by WDW, with two strands of DMC over two.

A very fun stitch!

This one, I've done before, for an exchange I was in. Liked it so much that I had to do it again

The design is from Chartmakers, and is called Christmas Night.
Stitched with DMC and WDW threads, on 32 ct. black Belfast, over two.

I'm thinking it would be nice to get it made into a bag like before. My friend Patti did the previous one. Maybe Tobie can help me out this time ;)

That's all for now. Oh wait....pugs!! As requested by MaryLou :)

Someone stole Mom's stitchin' chair....

and promptly got kicked out and put next to his brother ;)

They really cannot stand it when they can't sit right beside me. We got them that big pillow you see in the second picture, which I would pull up right beside me in the sun room, but they'll have NO part of it, thankyouverymuch. Astro says "You wasted your money Dad! We'd all be much happier with a bigger stitching chair" :)

Happy weekend y'all. Stay tuned for more finishes...will post next week :)

Wonderful finishes, girl! And those pugs, OMG! You sound like me, 1 dog and 4 cats, and they all stick to me like glue...I call it animal magnetism, lol!

What wonderful finishes! They're all so pretty and just my taste too. lol! I'm glad you included the pugs. They're so cute! I need a bigger stitching chair too. Mia likes to be on my lap but finds it hard sometimes. If she could be beside me, it would be nice.

You know I'm just have to say, "What's kicken, chicken" ? LOL!
Awesome finishes, Andrea. I love them all but Dainty Housewren is my favorite. Love the dark fabric and your stitching is so pretty! No beads needed! OK, I really love Snow Day, too. The curved holly is fantastic. Ooooh, the Christmas one is great too. I've never seen it before. Love it! Trudy's Garden is a new one to me as well and it is darling. You have been very busy. The pigs are so sweet. The rug you have in the room is really pretty, too.
Awesome pics and awesome finishes. Have a great weekend, GF!
XOXO

Sorry 'bout all the typos above.... working off my phone. Should have said pugs, not pigs.
also should have said "I just have to say...."
Sorry!

Wow, what great finishes. I especially love The Dainty Housewren.

I had to laugh about your Pugs... I have one dog who just insists on squeezing in next to me when I sit on my stitching chair - its a bit more difficult to stitch, but she sure keeps me warm in the winter.

What fantastic finishes, Andrea!! I love 'em all--I've had Dainty Housewren here to stitch forever. I need to get with it! I think that snowman is tooooo cute! It looks wonderful on the gray. Great pics of the pups! Duffy and I share a loveseat and will wedge himself in next to me if somebody tries to sit on his part of the seat. LOL I always hope that I can be the person my pup thinks I am.

Love all of your stitchyness! I really love the Dainty Wren piece - I have a scarlett curls willow right outside my kitchen window and I love to watch and listen to the birds as I work in my kitchen. I think I now have to track down this pattern!

Love your pugs!

Oh WOW Girly you've really been on a roll! Everything is super! Don't ya love the WDW fabric?

The mutt pupps make me laugh wanting to be snuggled up to Mom. I don't need to explain to you my recent photos of Jiggs in my chair as if it was his. ;-)

Oh my gosh, what great projects!!!!

You could hire your daughter out! I have some frogging to be done. What's her hourly rate? ;)

Beautiful--love the fabric on the Goode Huswife piece! I feel your pain re: the pugs. I usually have to stitch with a 20 lb. cat on my lap.
