New Additions - Part 2 (Finally!)

Gosh, it's been almost forever since I've been in this space known as my blog. My sweet friend Patti keeps asking me if I'm going to give up on it, and truth is, my life has been so full of stuff that I have considered it.
But, my friend told me "you don't have to say much, just post some stitching pictures", which seems like a good idea to me. So today I'll try and catch my readers up a bit, and for the future, it'll just be mostly pictures and few words. Maybe that way I can post more regularly.

OK, so besides the new kitty (see last post), we also adopted a sweet little boy doggy from a good friend, his name was Zuess, but we renamed him Bruce. You know, Bruce Almighty, cause he's so big and all ;-)

He's also weird. Very weird. Cute, tough, funny, loving, weird little dude. Love him.

Our son got married over the summer, that was exciting. And exhausting. So we also have a wonderful new daughter in our family, along with her adorable four year old daughter, so instant grandparents are us! It was a beautiful wedding.....lots of pics, but I'm not really comfortable posting a bunch of them without their permission, so here's just a fun one from the reception. My son is front left, the bride next to him and her daughter is the little one in front of her.  They were all doing a family dance that is tradition in the bride's family, it was a lot of fun.

We also adopted another bunny, but no pictures yet. We didn't actually plan on getting another, but she was in desperate need of a home, so what could we do. Now the critter count around here is four dogs (three pugs and BRUCE, lol), two bunny rabbits and one kitty cat, Jenny Bean. All are doing well.

Now, what you probably came here for....some stitching. I've gotten so much finished/framed and have been so bad at blogging or keeping up with posting them, there's no order to anything. Just posting and hoping nothing gets posted twice.

This is Valentine Holiday by Birds of a Feather.

Stitched long ago and just recently framed, I can't really recall the fabric/threads used.

And here's my Mystery Sampler, by With Thy Needle & Thread

Stitched on 35 ct. Confederate Grey by WDW, with whatever over-dyed threads the chart called for.

This is my Mary Gibson 1824 Sampler, which I loved stitching. I used 36 ct Vintage Buttercream and my own silk conversion.

Also finished up Charlotte Clayton....

Stitched on 36 ct. Vintage Sand Dune with Needlepoint silks.

Well, that's all for now my dear readers. Thanks for visiting my blog. More pictures of stitching soon. Be well, and be happy!

Bruce is cute!!! Love the wedding picture. Congrats on becoming instant grandparents. :)
LOVE all your stitching. Each of the finishes is just gorgeous.
And I think your idea of just putting up some pics with few words is great. Life is sometimes just to busy to do it otherwise.
Have a great weekend

It's good to see a post from you! Love seeing all the stitching you've been doing -- so many pieces and all so pretty! Love your new family members, both canine and human! Bruce is adorable! That wedding photo is wonderful too. Definitely blog only when you want. A blog should be fun and not a chore.

Sweet girl, it's good to see you here. I love your blog and you don't have to post just your stitching. I thought I was going to have a stitching blog and now, being back, it seems more like a personal journal. I do hope others will stop and say hello, but it is what it is.

Your new family additions are sweet...especially the daughter:)

When have you had time for such beautiful stitching!? Hugs, J

It sounds like your summer has been wonderful with a new furry friend and a new daughter!! Congratulations!

And also congratulations on your beautiful finishes! I just love all of them!! You are such an inspiration that I had to start E. Clayton because of you. Haven't a lot of time for stitching this summer, but seeing your finish makes me want to pick her up right now!!

Oh, Andrea! So much to see and I am so happy to see a post from YOU! I've missed you in blogland, gf!
Congratulations to your son on his new bride and daughter and to you as well - a daughter and grand daughter all in one fell swoop! FUN!
All your stitching is beautiful, as it always is. Of course, I'm partial to your Mary Gibson finish -and really love your color selection. EC is also a lovely finish as is the Mystery Sampler (mine is languishing somewhere). I adore the BOAF Valentines finish, too - so fun and colorful. Sounds like with the addition of Bruce, a bunny, a new daughter and grand daughter that you have had a happy go of it. I am so glad. Wonderful post and SO happy to hear from you. Hugs to you!

Good to see you posting! I know how you feel, I am in the same boat as far as too much going on to blog. Your new pup is cute and I love the name. We are getting a new kitty today, I will at least have to put his pic up on the blog if nothing else :)

Lovely to see your newsy post, Andrea! Congratulations on your son's marriage! Looks like it was a great party!

Love all the stitching and framing you've done! It's funny when someone hasn't posted for awhile and then you see all the goodies stitched, it just makes me sigh with happiness!

Your pugs look so cute! Welcome to Bruce (which rhymes nicely with Zuess!). Love that rug your pugs are standing on - very sampler-ish!
