where my heart blooms

Very stressful two weeks = no blogging. My hubby's mother was very ill and in the hospital for several weeks and passed away Saturday. So we're preparing for her funeral, etc. which will be in East Texas on Tuesday....my hubby has been so stressed out, which, considering his heart condition, is not a good thing.

Anyway, it all just seems like too much around here. Neighbor problems, sickness (I had a severe headache for days and then extreme dizziness...now it's just a cold or whatever), the list goes on.

My therapy is my stitching. Thank God for that. This piece by Blackbird Designs was such a pleasure to work on, I didn't want it to end. My friend Sheri said just rip it all out and do it again then. Funny girl.

It does have a mistake on it. That I left. Can you see it?

One of these flower stems is not like the other.

and here's the "action shot" for Siobhan ;) (by the way, thank you all for your sweet comments you leave for me, I appreciate and love you guys!!)

Well, I just love what this sampler says...home is where my heart blooms. So true for me. Too bad that now our home is also a cause of stress.

Sorry for venting about stuff here...usually like to keep things pretty light and fun but just feel like my life is spinning (like my head) right now. Hope to be back to normal soon...

Andrea, my condolences to you and your family on the passing of your husband's mother. So sorry to hear that you're going through such a difficult time. I, too, find stitching very soothing. Your new finish is lovely.

Sorry to hear about your Mother in Law, very sad for your husband, even if you were not close.

Your new finish is gorgeous and I can't see any mistakes. Did you decide to leave the buttons on the heart piece?

Hi Andrea,

I'm sorry to hear about your husband losing his mother, and I'm so sorry you are under so much stress right now. You know you are in my heart, and I hope things are on the mend soon.

Your stitching is lovely and so perfect as always. It's so pretty that even your mistakes look good, and I still couldn't find it. I don't have this pattern yet, but your photos make it a definite future stitch for me. It's just beautiful!

Take care, OK? You know you can write if you need to.

Oh {Andrea} I'm so sorry life has been such a bear lately. Losing one's Mother is always hard no matter what, and hopefully Hubby will be able to put the situation in perspective and not stress his heart too much.

I know about the killer headaches. Please take care of yourself during these stressful times.

Your latest finish is fantastic! I sure can't find the "mistake", anyway it's what makes the piece yours. Stitching is indeed such a calming activity, so just keep it up and hopefully things will be be back to normal soon.

You've actually *finished* the new LFC already? I'm still waiting for my chart and fabric to arrive! It looks fabulous, btw. And no, even with the close-up shot, I can't spot the boo-boo!
