Happy New Year!
It's a beautiful day here in North Texas :)
I am making pork carnitas rice bowls today with a side of black-eyed peas.
We have the peas every New Year I think, although we may have forgotten once or twice. We're not superstitious people but do like tradition.
Thank you all so much for your thoughts on my Frappuccino :) I'm going to sew the buttons on today before going to work!
I finished up this Birds of a Feather design a few days ago:
It's called Winter Holiday...
...and I stitched it on the recommended 28 ct. Dark Teal Green Cashel with Weeks and DMC threads. It used more than one skein of the WDW Icicle.
A fun stitch!
Hope you all are having a wonderful day :)

The BOAF snowman looks like such a fun finish!! Very pretty!
Happy New Year, Andrea!!
What an adorable finish Andrea! Great way to start the year. Happy New Year!
Yum! I think eating black eyed peas on new years day is so neat. DeAnna has been doing that for years. Maybe even her whole life. I am not sure. I would ask her but she hasn't really talked to me lately. Ever since before Thanksgiving.
Our tradition has been to go have Chinese food on new years day and I already know what I am going to order tonight - Orange chicken. yum!!!
Have a great day! :-)
XOXO
What a cute finish, Andrea; I'm sure I"ve never seen that design before! (or else I"d have it in my stash LOL)
Enjoy you black-eyed peas. My mom always makes them on New Year's Day, too!
Happy New Year Andrea! I love your BOAF snowman. I wanted to stitch this design and just never got to it this past year.
Oh well... there's always Christmas 2008.
I love that snowman! He's so cute! Congrats on a great finish! Happy New Year! :)
Oh it's so cute! I love it on that fabric! I really need to add some more BOAF designs to my stash.
Cute finish!
Oh, I absolutely adore your snowman!
Happy New Year to you!
Have fun sewing your buttons!
I love your Winter Holiday. As always, you did a beautiful job of stitching. I never noticed from seeing the pattern online that there are snowflakes on the body of the snowman. Such a beautiful piece of stitching!
Andrea, as usual your stitching is beautiful! I am always impressed with the amount of stitching you do, and finish! I have so many unfinished projects...I always tell myself that I'm not going to start anything else till I finish something, but then I lose my resolve and start something else.
Andrea ~ Thanks for the welcome back. I love the BOAF finish, it's adorable. And the cupcake buttons for Frappuccino definitely need to stay.
Happy 2008 ;)
Hi Andrea, Thanks for stopping by my blog. YES, I love Quilters Home and Mark. It is the only magazine that I read from cover to cover. I hear that he is a hoot! Lucky you to have met him! Have a wonderful 2008.
I love snowmen and this one is REALLY CUTE!!
I LOVE this snowman Andrea. Happy New Year!! Lois
Hi Andrea, the snowman and it's companions are so cute. I'm so in love with this design since I saw it on your blog. But I can't find it in any of the online shops. Could you please give me a hint where to buy this one....please.
